Before moving into long-form directing, Dave was an Emmy®-winning creative director in entertainment branding and design, leading high-level creative for networks and studios including Discovery Channel, Food Network, FX, BBC America, and ABC. That background continues to shape the way he approaches storytelling: visually precise, emotionally immediate, and deeply aware of how audiences absorb tone, rhythm, and image.
His work is especially drawn to psychological tension, emotional intimacy, and the ways physical space can shape behavior. Blocking, architecture, movement, and environment are never just visual tools—they become part of the emotional storytelling itself. A hallway can create dominance. A staircase can create vulnerability. A room can quietly trap two people long before the scene acknowledges it.

His directing work has aired across major networks and platforms including CBS, ABC, NBC, Lifetime, PBS, and Amazon, as well as numerous international broadcasters.
He has built a growing body of thriller and dramatic work known for elevated visual style, strong performances, emotional tension, and an ability to bring cinematic scale and atmosphere to contained productions.
Before transitioning into full-time directing, Dave spent years as an Emmy®-winning creative director developing network branding, launch campaigns, and main title sequences for major entertainment brands. His work included directing talent-driven shoots and collaborating with executives, actors, designers, editors, and production teams across high-profile television campaigns.
In parallel with his directing career, Dave has also collaborated with innovation teams and agencies on future-focused creative initiatives for Fortune 500 companies, helping conceptualize emerging products, experiences, and AI-driven approaches to audience interaction and storytelling.
His award-winning short film Far From the Tree screened at 27 festivals worldwide and helped launch his transition into scripted television directing. His documentary feature 24|7|365: The Evolution of Emergency Medicine received the Emmy® Award for Outstanding Documentary – New England and was later incorporated into part of the certification process for future Emergency Medicine physicians by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
Dave is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and serves on the board of the College of Fine Arts and Humanities at the University of Central Arkansas.
